The Love Month

We are excited about the love month of February. Not only are we beginning to learn our recital routines - we are also focusing on how God shows His love for us which in turn helps us show our love to others. Each week we are asking the question to each group - "How have you seen God's love today?" We encourage you to ask that question as well to your Girls of Grace this month!
We are thankful for the opportunity to serve your family!
Happy Love Month!
Sarah and Mandy

Important Upcoming Dates

Hello Girls of Grace! We are so excited to be working on our Christmas dances! Each class will be taking one ballet dance to perform at Summer Ridge as our Christmas gift to the community. Please note this is not our big stage performance - we will be dancing in a fairly crowded community center room - so please save your extended family/friend invitations for our spring show at the end of the year. We want to give your child the experience of giving this Christmas season through sharing their talent and time with others.

Important Upcoming Dates
November 23 - Costume Distribution (costume payment $65)
November 30 - Come to class in costume for pictures/dress rehearsal
December 7 - No classes - Performance Day! - meet at Summer Ridge for 6:00pm performance - time TBA

Love Project for October

We hope you have been able to look at the webcast from Blanche, Carissa's mother. What an amazing family! We would like to be a blessing this month by meeting a need in their family. You can join us by bringing packages of size 4 diapers for Carissa.
If you and your daughter would like to learn more about this sweet family you can go to www.caringbridge.org/visit/carissaelizabeth

Costume Time!

It is costume time!!! I can't believe it either - but with our pictures and Christmas performance around the corner - the costumes are already being made!!! We have already gotten tutu measurements and will be sizing the girls this month for their leotards. For all of our new Girls of Grace - this is a one time costume payment of $65. This includes all pieces worn at both the Christmas performance and Spring Show. Leotard, tutu, tights, hair pieces, tap and drill skirts - we do our very best to make the most of your money and make it stretch! You can make your costume payment anytime throughout the month of October. Can't wait to see these Girls of Grace in their new tutus!!!!

A little bit about Miss Sarah.........

Hello! My name is Sarah Elizabeth Watson. I am 15 years old. I have taken dance classes for 11 years. I started dancing when I was 3. I have taken Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip-Hop, African, Modern, Lyrical, and Novelty (Character or Musical Theater, as it is known). I am in a Pointe class along with the ballet classes I am taking this year. My favorite type of dance is Ballet. I am very passionate about using dance to help reach young girls for Christ. I believe that God gave me the love for dance so that I can use it for His glory. So, that is what I am going to try and accomplish this year, not just with your daughters but with my own life.

Other things about me:
  • I attend Heritage Christian Academy and am a sophomore
  • I have a sister, Debra, who also dances. She is in 5th grade at Heritage.
  • I do not have any pets, but would love to have another dog.
  • My favorite color is purple.
  • I am a cheerleader at my school and I am on our dance team.
  • I also love to sing. My favorite genre is Country (Christian is a very close second). What can I say I am Texas born and raised!
  • I attend First Baptist Church Rockwall. I live in Rowlett, Tx.
  • My mother graduated from Auburn University and my father from University of Texas at Dallas.
  • I do not know where I want to go to college.

Future things I want to do:

  • I want to go to every state in the United States before I graduate college.
  • I want to visit every country before I die.
  • I want to live in Australia.
